Željko Krgović
Željko Krgović was born in Montenegro in 1980. At the age of twenty, he began practicing Transcendental Meditation, marking the beginning of a profound inner journey. From that moment, the principle of Ahimsa became the foundation of his life. His spiritual search deepened through the study of the Bhagavad Gītā with the commentary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the Yoga Vaśiṣṭha.
In 2004, Željko began his study of Jyotiṣa Śāstra at the Śrī Jagannāth Center in Serbia, where he met many like-minded seekers of truth.
From 2008 to 2015, he attended the Mahāṛṣi Jaimini Upadeśa Sūtra Program (JSP) under the guidance of Visti Larsen, and in 2015 received the Jaimini Scholar certificate from the Devaguru Bṛhaspati Center. This training opened a completely new horizon in Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa, revealing the perfect harmony between Vedic astrology and spiritual discipline. He subsequently attended two Advanced Jaimini Sūtra Programs (JSPA) held in Malta, where Pt. Sanjay Rath revealed deeper and deeper layers of the sacred Sūtras.
He also completed the Parāśara Jyotiṣa Course, earning the title Jyotiṣa Paṇḍita, and since 2020 has been serving as a mentor for the same course.
In parallel, Željko studied Mantra Śāstra under the guidance of Pt. Sanjay Rath, completing three modules — beginning in 2013 with Śāradā Tilakam as the foundational text, and advancing into the study of sound, Graha Devatās, and remedial applications. He has also attended three courses on Śiva Mahāpurāṇa, enriching his understanding of Śaiva philosophy and spiritual symbolism.
Since 2006, all his professional and personal efforts have been dedicated to Jyotiṣa and spirituality. His papers Kāṇṭaka Śani and Aṣṭa Siddhi were published in Jyotish Digest. He has presented his work at international conferences in New Delhi (2006), Serbia (2005 and 2006), and at the SJC, BAVA, and Divination conferences.
Since 2008, Željko has been actively teaching Jyotiṣa and giving consultations — both in person and online — sharing the wisdom received from his Gurus, Pt. Sanjay Rath and Visti Larsen. He is currently working on the Phaladīpikā, seeking to bridge the teachings of the Paramparā with the insights of the great Mantreśvara.
Spiritually, Željko draws great inspiration from the teachings of Svāmi Vivekananda and the Ramakrishna Mission. In 2013, he received Gāyatrī Dīkṣā. His complete sādhana is centred on Guru-upāsanā — seeing life itself as Sevā to Parameṣṭhi Guru.
Željko lives in Vienna, Austria, with his wife Ivana, a professor of Spanish and French, and their three children — two daughters and a son.
